Christ gives gifts to each person to empower His church for the sake of the world.

Goal of spiritual gifts:

…become like Christ

…a Christ-like Church

…world served with Christ’s love

What can each of us do to grow in Christ and our spiritual gifts?

1. Pray, explore and discover your gifts

2. Develop and employ your gifts

3. Offer your gifts to God as worship

4. Get equipped by leaders as you serve

5. Encourage others to grow in maturity as followers of Christ

Before today’s message, how much had you thought about spiritual gifts in the last year? Why is that the case? Do you believe you have spiritual gifts?
Have you had potential or actual spiritual gifts in your life affirmed by others in the Church? If so, explain.
What are the goals of spiritual gifts?
How is it possible to know if we are using our gifts for God’s purposes versus our own?
Read through the gifts of the Spirit listed in Gal. 5:22-23 using the Message translation. How does this list of character traits and virtues direct our serving and using of our spiritual gifts?
