Freedom is sparked by imitating God
OUTLINE
Put off falsehood = all members of one body
Steal no longer = have something to share with those in need
No unwholesome talk = may benefit those who listen
Set free = do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God
Forgive each other = as in Christ God forgave you
Follow God’s example = as dearly loved children
Walk in the way of love = as Christ loved us

- Describe one time you experienced true freedom. What happened?
- If someone was depicted as “walking in freedom,” what characteristics would capture that person’s attitude and life?
- Which of the challenges in this passage is most difficult for you (i.e. lying, stealing, anger, forgiveness)? Why is that the case right now?
- Which of the seven motivations most encourages you to follow God more intently? Has that motivation changed in the last year? Why?
