Summer 2007 Current Activities

Dear Women,

Let me give you a quick glimpse into our Women’s Ministries here at Grace.

The most important offer that we have in our Women’s Ministries is our Women’s Bible Study. We have the same study offered on Monday evenings and Thursday mornings. We are hoping to offer another evening study later in the year. At this time we have been studying with a video lecture series with small groups and a work book. This has become a very popular format but keep watching for new methods that will be coming later in the year. We do offer childcare, but it is by reservation only. We have fellowship opportunities often. Our events are set up to have a great time with one another and a fun time to bring a friend that might not attend Grace. We look forward to our annual Women’s Retreat with our 2008's theme being Chocolate Boutique. We have such a great time with about 70 women or so and it is always fun to get away and just be girls.

There is still so much more in the way of caring that is available too. We have a prayer chain, Meaningful Meals, which helps out families in our church that have a need for a meal to be brought in, visitation for those that are ill or hurting, showers for newborns and those getting married, as well as some mentoring opportunities. We have a relationship with the Eugene Mission in helping with the Women and Children's area of their establishment. Also, this summer we had a group of our single women get together and we hope to continue this effort on a regular basis.

We also have a Mom's of Grace group that meets Tuesday mornings. This group is for moms of newborns through middle school. One hour is teaching and one hour is discussion to help with parenting. It is a wonderful group of women. They have a special Tuesday each month where they have a cooking class, a craft, free day, etc. There is childcare available for this time.
