Grace Groups

Grace Groups (G2) are how we intentionally meet together to build authentic relationships with others in our church community, which help lead to a meaningful faith. Some places call these small groups, or home fellowships, or cell groups, or whatever. We chose this name because it communicates that the groups are a part of the larger community called Grace Community Fellowship, and because one of the goals of these groups is to demonstrate 'grace' lived out in our lives.

These groups are not social clubs or perfect, but they do attempt to be real. And our facilitators truly believe in what they are doing. Here are some of the more frequently asked questions answered.

List of current Grace Groups meeting in our community.

Primary goal: Christ-like Fellowship and Care [Leaders]

  • Meeting one another’s needs (compassion, love, hospitality)
  • Connecting new people to GCF (acceptance)
  • Prayer
  • Communicating it is “Ok” to struggle, wrestle with God
  • Accountability/responsibility to one another
  • Establishing and strengthening friendships
  • Breaking down walls of independence
  • Encouraging involvement in other areas (service)

Secondary goal: Knowledge

  • Growing in Bible knowledge and who Jesus is
  • Developing and using spiritual gifts
  • Studying topics relating to theology and culture
