Every Child recruits caring community members in Oregon to love, care for, and support vulnerable children and families in partnership with Oregon’s Department of Human Services. The Every Child initiative was started in order to ask Oregonians to transform their community through radical and unprecedented support for children and families in crisis. Lane County is our home and we have a wonderful responsibility to step in and help the most vulnerable.
About Grace Community Fellowship’s Involvement
Last year, Paster Steve listened to a presentation about what has now become the Every Child initiative. During his sabbatical, he became convicted that our church should jump into the effort with both feet, and he signed up our church to help makeover some DHS visitation rooms in mid-October. He also designated Kay Mustoe as our church point person to coordinate with Every Child.
“There is so much more to say about the plight of kids who are hurting, and the overloaded system at the Department of Human Services. We can make a tangible difference in the name of Jesus.” —Pastor Steve Hill
